In Loving Memory of Floyd
Hinkemeyer Tree Farms: A Family Business Since 1971
Our farm was founded more than 50 YEARS AGO when Floyd and Jan Hinkemeyer planted their first Christmas Trees on their 40-acre homestead in Rice, MN in 1971.
They raised their three children on the farm, learning how to raise beautiful Christmas trees and planting more each spring until their first customers cut a tree in 1977, brought it in to have it measured, and were soon on their way home.
Floyd and Jan encouraged their children to learn about the business as the years went on and the tree farm grew—adding tree services, two pole barns to serve as pre-cut lots, a heated gift shop, and sleigh rides.
They passed the business on to their son-in-law and daughter, Randy and Cheryl Thiele, in 2013. The three generations of Hinkemeyer's are still involved with the tree farm, making sure to provide the best annual experience and memorable tradition possible for your family.
Hinkemeyer Tree Farm is a family business. We hope our family can become part of your Christmas tradition this year. We can't wait to meet you!
